Welcome to the Case Portal
This portal helps you track your student's intervention progress over time. Here's everything you need to know to get started.
1. Understanding Your Dashboard
After signing in, you'll see a personalized dashboard for your student with:
Summary Cards - Quick overview of goals, progress entries, and average rating
Intervention Goals - The specific goals set for your student with baseline and target values
Progress Charts - Visual line graphs showing progress ratings over time for each goal
Recent Activity - A feed of all progress entries logged by teachers and parents
2. Logging Progress
Regular progress logging is essential for tracking your student's growth. To log progress:
Select a Goal - Choose which intervention goal this observation relates to, or leave as "General observation" for overall notes
Write Your Observation - Describe what you observed. Be specific about behaviors, achievements, or challenges
Rate Progress (1-5) - Give an honest assessment of how the student is progressing toward their goal
Set the Date - Use today's date or select a past date if logging a previous observation
Select Your Role - Indicate whether you're logging as a teacher or parent
Tip: Try to log progress at least once per week. Consistent entries help build a clear picture of your student's journey.
3. Understanding Progress Ratings
The 1-5 rating scale helps quantify progress toward each goal:
12345
1 - Significant Difficulty - Student is struggling considerably with this goal
2 - Some Difficulty - Progress is below expectations, additional support needed
3 - Making Progress - Student is on track with expected development
4 - Good Progress - Student is exceeding expectations
5 - Excellent Progress - Student has mastered or nearly mastered this goal
4. Reading Progress Charts
Each goal with logged progress shows a line chart displaying ratings over time. Use these charts to:
Identify trends - Is progress generally improving, stable, or declining?
Spot patterns - Are there certain times when progress dips or improves?
Celebrate wins - Visual evidence of improvement is motivating for everyone!
Inform decisions - Use data to discuss adjustments to the intervention plan
5. Collaboration Between Teachers & Parents
This portal allows both teachers and parents to log observations. Each entry shows who logged it, creating a complete picture of the student's progress across environments.
Remember: Communication is key! When you notice something important, log it so the whole team stays informed.
6. Monitoring Cycles & Timeline
Your intervention case follows a structured 12-month monitoring period divided into 4 cycles of 3 months each:
4 Monitoring Cycles - Each cycle lasts 3 months (approximately 12 weeks). The cycle badge at the top of your dashboard shows which cycle you're currently in (e.g., "Cycle 2 of 4").
Cycle Transitions - When a cycle ends, you'll see a review modal where you can review your progress and continue to the next cycle. All your data is preserved across cycles.
Cycle Warnings - A warning banner appears when your current cycle is ending soon, giving you time to review progress and prepare for the next cycle.
After 4 Cycles - After completing all 4 cycles (12 months total), the case becomes read-only. Download your progress reports before this date!
Important: Use the "Print & Reports" section to download your Progress Report and Offline Tracking Forms before the case expires. All progress data is preserved when you advance to a new cycle.
7. Print & Reports
Download and print essential documents from your dashboard:
Offline Tracking Form - A printable 12-week tracking sheet for handwritten progress notes when you're away from the computer
Progress Report - A comprehensive summary with goal statistics, trends (improving/stable/declining), average ratings, and recent entries - perfect for IEP meetings or parent conferences
